Hong Kong International Computing Olympiad

About HKICO
Hong Kong International Computing Olympiad is an annual computing Olympiad competition which consists of main programming languages nowadays such as Scratch, Blockly, Java, C++, Python.
HKICO Objectives:
  • Promoting a passion for programming.
  • Developing programming and computer skills and ability to use it.
  • Discover the outstanding students in programming to join them in specialized training programs.
  • Qualifying participants in the Hong Kong International Olympiad to participate in the final round.
HKICO Schedule:
  • Registration open : 15th of january
  • Registration end : 1st of April
  • Egypt Round : 30th of May
  • Final Olympiad in Singapore: 27-29th of June - Singapore
Conditions for participation in the competition
  • Students enrolled in pre-university education (from 2nd grade to 2nd secondary).
  • Participation in the name of the school where the student is enrolled.
  • The student should not be more than 18 years old.
  • The student is committed to the place and date of the test to be nominated.

Primary 6 / Middle 1 Level 3 20 (MCQ) 60 minutes
Middle 2-3 Level 4 20 (MCQ) 60 minutes
Secondary 2-3 Level 5 20 (MCQ) 60 minutes
Note: Each grade will get their own set of question papers.
After the test is finished , the answer sheets are corrected by by the electronic Remark system , then the results and the winners are announced
HKICO Awards:
  • Certificates of participation for all participants in HKICO (Hong Kong International Computer Olympiad.
  • 1st,2nd winner will qualify to travel to the final heat with full free accommodation and travel fees.
  • Winners of each level are awarded a diploma of excellence
